CARDIOLOGY

Dr. Vinay Garg MD, MSc, FRCPC

Dr. Garg completed his BHSc in Health Sciences at Western University before attending Queen's University for medical school. He completed his Internal Medicine and Adult Cardiology training at the University of Toronto. He also recently completed a Master of Science Degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology. He has been very involved in clinical trials research out of St. Michael's Hospital with the CardioLink Clinical Trials Group. He is currently completing additional sub-specialist training in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Arrhythmias at St. Michael's Hospital. In his spare time, he loves to spend time with friends, family, and is an avid Toronto Maple Leaf and Raptors fan. 

Dr. Karan Bami MD, FRCPC

Dr. Bami attended medical school at McMaster University. He then completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Ottawa, Cardiology training at the University of Toronto, and Echocardiography fellowship at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. His areas of interest include valvular cardiology, cardio-oncology, and quality improvement in echocardiography. 

Dr. Melissa Moey MD, FRCPC

Dr. Moey completed her Bachelor of Science at Queen's University and her Master of Science at Western University before obtaining her Doctor of Medicine from Saba University School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and Adult Cardiology fellowship at East Carolina University (ECU) Health Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina, where she served as a Chief Cardiology fellow. She is currently an Interventional and Structural Heart Cardiology fellow at St. Michael's Hospital. She has an avid interest in clinical research and outcomes with a focus on coronary artery disease, valvular disease and cardio-oncology. In addition to her Canadian board certification in Internal Medicine and Adult Cardiology, Dr. Moey also holds certification from the American Board in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease and the National Board of Echocardiography.  In her spare time, she enjoys trying new foods in Toronto, working out and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Moey speaks English and Cantonese

Dr. Daniel Ozier MD, FRCPC

Dr. Daniel Ozier obtained his BMSc from Western University before attending medical school at McMaster University. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Toronto, serving as the Chief Medical Resident for Sunnybrook Hospital. He completed his Adult Cardiology training at the University of Toronto, where he served as the Chief Cardiology Resident at both Sunnybrook Hospital and Toronto General Hospital. He is currently completing additional subspecialty fellowship training in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Arrhythmias at St. Michael’s Hospital. Outside of medicine, Dr. Ozier spends his time with family, dog Freddy, friends and is a sports fanatic.

Dr. Fotis Katsikeris MD, FRCPC

Dr. Katsikeris completed an undergraduate degree in electrical and electronic engineering at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.  He completed his medical school at University College, Dublin. 

He completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Massachusetts Medical School - Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA, where he was Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. After completing his Internal Medicine training, he completed his cardiology training at the University of Toronto. He completed advanced training in adult echocardiography at St. Michael’s Hospital.

His clinical interests include heart failure, amyloidosis and structural heart disease. In his spare time, he likes to be with his family, watch baseball and cook BBQ. 

Dr. Kibar Yared MD, FRCPC

Dr. Yared is currently the Medical Director of Cardiac Imaging at The Scarborough Health Network. Before moving to Toronto, Dr. Yared received his medical degree and Cardiology training at McGill University in Montreal. He subsequently completed an advanced Cardiac Imaging fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital – Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2015, he spearheaded the formation of a Cardio-Oncology clinic at Scarborough Health Network, of which he currently serves as Director. His clinical expertise includes Echocardiography and Cardiac MRI.

Dr. Sean Cai MD, FRCPC

Dr. Sean Cai is a general Cardiologist and completed his undergraduate medical training, Internal Medicine and Adult Cardiology training at the University of Toronto. His clinical interests include cardiovascular health, diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. Dr. Cai is currently undertaking further training in advanced echocardiography at St. Michael’s Hospital.

Dr. Ankit Garg, MD, FRCPC

Dr. Ankit Garg completed his BSc in life sciences from Queen's University and his medical degree from McMaster University. He then completed his Internal medicine Training at the University of Toronto before returning to McMaster University for his Cardiology Training. He is currently an Interventional Cardiology Fellow at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Additionally, Dr. Garg spent a year as a Biodesign Innovation Fellow at the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign in Palo Alto, California, where he furthered his expertise in innovative healthcare solutions. With his diverse experiences and dedication to patient care, Dr. Garg continues to make valuable contributions to the world of cardiology and healthcare innovation.

Dr. Spencer Lalonde MD, FRCPC

Dr. Spencer Lalonde is a Cardiologist with additional training in advanced heart failure and transplantation. He completed medical school and Internal Medicine at Western University in London Ontario and Adult Cardiology training at the University of Toronto. He subsequently completed an Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation fellowship at Toronto General Hospital and is pursuing

additional sub-specialty training in Advanced Echocardiography at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. His clinical and research interests include heart failure medical management and cardiac rehabilitation.

DERMATOLOGY

Dr. Matt Sandre MD, FRCPC

Dr. Matt Sandre is a board-certified Dermatologist with advanced training in laser surgery and cosmetic injectables. He attended Western University, where he completed an Honours Bachelor of Medical Sciences as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, where he graduated at the top of his class and earned the gold medal. He practiced as a pediatric emergency and pediatric oncology nurse before attending medical school at McMaster University. He completed his dermatology residency at the University of Toronto and served as co-chief resident. Following residency, Dr. Sandre completed a one-year fellowship (sub-specialty training) in dermatologic laser surgery and aesthetic dermatology, focusing on lasers, injectables (Botox and fillers) and scar treatments. He enjoys curling, skiing, scuba diving and travelling when not practicing medicine.

Dr. Adam Masson MD, CCFP, PGDip(derm)

Dr. Mason attended medical school and completed his family medicine residency at McMaster University. He went on to complete his diploma in Practical Dermatology at Cardiff University. His areas of interest include skin cancer and procedural dermatology.  Dr. Adam Masson is a Family Physician with special designation and focused practice certification in Dermatology.

Dr. Catherine Chung MD, FRCPC

Dr. Chung is a physician with dual certification in Dermatology and Anatomical Pathology. She completed her medical school and pathology residency training at the University of Toronto, followed by a fellowship training in Paediatric Pathology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. For ten years, she practiced as a paediatric pathologist at the Hospital for Sick Children, where she was actively involved in training medical students, residents, and fellows.

To combine her dedication to direct patient care and interest in diagnostic excellence, she subsequently undertook a second residency in Dermatology at the University of Toronto. Dr. Chung now currently divides her time between her diagnostic dermatopathology and clinical dermatology practices.

INTERNAL AND OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE

Dr. YM Markus MD, MPH Tropical Medicine, FRCPC

Dr. Markus is a highly regarded specialist in occupational medicine, addiction medicine, and travel/tropical medicine. He holds an MD from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Public Health and Tropical Medicine from Tulane University. With a particular focus on Traveler's Health, Dr. Markus provides expert guidance and support as a trusted Travel Medicine Consultant, catering to industry professionals, public service agencies, and individual travellers.

In addition to his specialization in Travel Medicine, Dr. Markus has established a thriving consulting practice where he offers valuable services such as file review, medico-legal expertise, and independent medical evaluations for employers and insurance companies. His expertise extends to serving as a Medical Director for various industries, including aviation, healthcare, resources, and pharmaceuticals. He recently was the Senior Occupational Medicine Advisor for the federal Public Service Occupational Health Program. Driven by a commitment to medical education, Dr. Markus actively contributes to training future healthcare professionals as a Lecturer at the University of Toronto and the University of Ottawa.

Dr. Impreet Gill MD, FRCPC

Dr. Impreet Gill is an internal medicine physician who is an acute care internist within the GTA. Outside the GTA, he dedicates some of his clinical time to servicing North Western Ontario and the Northwest Territories. Dr. Gill completed both his medical school and internal medicine residency training at the University of Toronto. His areas of clinical interest include metabolic syndrome, ascertaining the cause of complex bloodwork abnormalities and appropriate treatment for iron deficiency anemia.

Dr. Robyn Goldstein MD, FACP

Dr. Robyn Goldstein is a board-certified General Internist holding licensure in both Canada and the United States. Originally from Toronto, she first undertook a Bachelor of Sciences from the University of Guelph and a Master of Science from the University of Toronto. She then completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Connecticut and the University at Buffalo. She is board-eligible for the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM). She has started practicing bariatric medicine throughout her residency and in a specialty clinic. Her areas of particular interest include nutrition, metabolic syndrome, preventative health, evidence-based medicine and complex bloodwork abnormalities. She is excited to become part of the Unify team and is committed to providing comprehensive care to patients.

Dr. Carol Graham MD, FRCPC

Dr. Carol Graham is a graduate of Queensland University Medical School in Australia. She completed her General Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Toronto and practices acute care medicine at various hospitals in Toronto.  

Dr. Tina Nham MD, FRCPC

Dr. Tina Nham earned her medical degree from McMaster University and pursued her training in Internal Medicine at the University of Toronto. Currently, she serves as a General Internist focusing on Geriatric Medicine. Driven by her passion for the field, she is pursuing further specialization in Geriatric Medicine at McMaster University.

Dr. Carly Visentin MD, FRCPC

Dr. Carly Visentin completed her BHSc at the University of Ottawa and her Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Toronto before attending medical school at the University of Toronto. She completed her General Internal Medicine training at the University of Ottawa and her General Internal Medicine Fellowship at the University of Toronto. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and going on hikes with her dog, Willow.

UROLOGY

Dr. Jenny Li BMSc, MD, FRCSC

Dr. Li completed her medical training at Western University, surgical residency at the University of Toronto and Fellowship Training in endourology and minimally invasive surgery (Robotics and Laparoscopy) at McMaster University. Dr. Li has interests in general urology, benign prostate hyperplasia, kidney, prostate and bladder cancer, and kidney stones.

Dr. Andrew DiPierdominico MD, FRCSC

Dr. DiPierdomenico completed his Honours Bachelor of Science, followed by his Doctor of Medicine degree at Queen’s University. He graduated from the University of Toronto Urology residency training program in 2019. Following his residency training, he completed a clinical fellowship in andrology and prosthetic urology at Western University. His clinical interests include andrology, men’s health, infertility, and functional urology. Dr. DiPierdominico operates out of MacKenzie Health.

Dr. Mark Noss MD, MSc, FRCSC

Dr. Noss completed his Honours Bachelor of Science in Biophysics at the University of Western Ontario and a Masters of Science in Medical Biophysics and Medical Therapeutics from the Ontario Cancer Institute/Princess Margaret Hospital. His Doctor of Medicine degree was obtained at the University of Toronto. He graduated from the University of Toronto Urology residency training program in 1997. He completed a clinical fellowship at The Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto in Male Infertility and Andrology and a second fellowship at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York in Sexual Dysfunction and Peyronies Disease. He was the former Director of Male Infertility at the Einstein-Montefiore Medical Centre. His clinical interests include andrology and men’s health, infertility, and general urology.

Dr. Justin Kwong MD, FRCSC

Dr. Kwong completed his undergraduate degree at Western University followed by medical school at McMaster University. He went on to pursue his Urology residency training at Western University. Following residency, he completed a two-year academic fellowship at University of Toronto in Endourology, Robotic/Laparoscopic Surgery and Stones. His areas of clinical interest include general urology, kidney stone disease, and cancer.

ENT AND OTOLARYNGOLOGY

Dr. Kevin Higgins MD, MSc, FRCSC

Dr. Higgins completed his Bachelor of Sciences at Queen’s University and earned his MD at the University of Toronto. He completed his ENT residency at the University of Toronto, where he was Chief Resident.

 In addition to his role at the clinic, Dr. Higgins is an affiliate scientist for evaluative clinical sciences with the Odette Cancer Research Program at  Sunnybrook Research Institute, where he is also a head and neck surgical oncologist/microvascular reconstructive surgeon. Dr. Higgins is an Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Toronto and has clinical privileges at several GTA hospitals, including Michael Garron, North York General and Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Higgins is an accomplished athlete, having completed 4 Boston Marathons and 2 Iron Man Competitions and is an active member of the Morning Glory Cycling M1 Team. 

Dr. Christopher Hong MD, FRCSC

Dr. Hong is a highly accomplished medical professional with a sub-specialization in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. He graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences from McMaster University and obtained his MD degree from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Toronto and pursued further training in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in various renowned institutions, including New York City, Seoul, and Montreal.

Currently serving as a Lecturer at the University of Toronto, Dr. Hong holds staff privileges at Humber River Hospital and William Osler Health System. His expertise and dedication have led him to deliver presentations at both national and international conferences with over 20 peer-reviewed publications in prestigious medical journals. Notably, his outstanding work on the Methodological Guide to Adopting New Aesthetic Surgical Innovations was recognized as the Best North American Journal Article in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. Dr. Hong remains an active member of several esteemed medical associations, including the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Canadian Society of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and Canadian and Ontario Medical Associations.

ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY

Dr. Justues Chang BSc, MD, FRCSC

Dr. Justues Chang is a staff orthopaedic surgeon at Michael Garron Hospital and a Lecturer in the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo, followed by medical school at Queen’s University. He then completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Toronto. He is fellowship-trained in Adult Lower Extremity Reconstruction (Toronto Western Hospital), focusing on complex primary and revision hip and knee replacements, anterior hip arthroplasty, partial knee replacements, and rapid recovery/outpatient joint replacements. He is also fellowship trained in Orthopaedic Traumatology (Vancouver General Hospital) with interests in the management of acute trauma and complications, including post-traumatic arthritis, nonunions, and malunions/deformity.

With a primary goal of helping his patients improve their quality of life, he firmly believes in offering personalized, full-spectrum, non-surgical and surgical management strategies to all his patients.

Dr. James Higgins BSc, MD, FRCSC

Dr. Higgins is a staff orthopaedic surgeon at Michael Garron Hospital and a Lecturer in the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto. After completing his undergraduate and medical school training at Queen’s University, he completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Toronto, followed by two sub-specialty clinical fellowships: Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery at the University of Toronto and Trauma and Lower Extremity Reconstruction at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and St. Michael’s Hospital. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and he won awards for his work on using mobile patient engagement apps in post-operative follow-up. 

His clinical scope of practice includes hip and knee arthroplasty, trauma and related post-traumatic conditions, as well as management of upper and lower extremity sports injuries and degenerative conditions, including knee and shoulder arthroscopy. His goal has always been to restore quality of life to those affected by various musculoskeletal conditions. 

PLASTICS AND OCULOPLASTICS SURGERY

Dr. Lisa Jagan MD, FRCSC

Dr. Lisa Jagan obtained her Bachelor of Health Sciences degree at McMaster University before heading to Queen's University, where she completed her Medical Degree, Residency in Ophthalmology, and a Fellowship in Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She has authored several scientific publications and has a special interest in medical education. This includes work funded by the Southeastern Ontario Academic Medical Organization (SEAMO) Endowed Scholarship program to validate a simulated eye model that surgeons can practice to refine their procedural skills and learn new techniques. She was also awarded a Queen's University Open Education Resources grant to co-author an oculoplastic procedural textbook for novice surgeons. 

Dr. Lisa Jagan's surgical expertise in oculoplastics can be more plainly described as plastic surgery for the eyelids. This includes droopy eyelids (ptosis), excess skin above the eyelids (dermatochalasis), abnormal in-turning or out-turning of the eyelids (entropions and ectropions), chalazion excisions (styes), cosmetic excision of lumps and bumps on or around the eyelids, and finally, functional and cosmetic botox. Her surgical philosophy centers on creating a refreshed but natural outcome.

Dr. Alex Corneman MD, FRCSC

Dr. Corneman is the Plastic Surgery Division Head at Grand River Hospital and St. Mary's General Hospital based in Waterloo, Ontario. He is also a clinical assistant professor of surgery at McMaster University. He completed his medical school at Queen's University and his plastic surgery residency at McMaster University. 

He enjoys a wide range of acute and elective conditions managed by plastic surgeons and is certainly not limited by this list. This includes skin cancer, upper extremity trauma, elective hand surgery, craniofacial fractures, peripheral nerve pathology, burns, and breast reconstruction.

 He is also interested in elective and cosmetic surgery such as simple soft tissue "lumps and bumps", liposuction, gynecomastia, abdominoplasty, and massive weight loss body contouring. 

Dr. Laura Tate MD, FRCSC

Dr. Laura Tate graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in 1979 and a Doctor of Medicine in 1983. She completed a Rotating Internship at St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto, in 1984 and then entered the Toronto Gallie Residency Training Program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, where she graduated in 1988. She completed a Fellowship in Microsurgery back at St. Michael’s Hospital and in Montreal at Maissonneuve Rosemont Hospitals.

Dr. Tate spent four months in Nepal, travelling as an international surgeon with Dr. Norman Merkeley. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Tate joined the surgical staff of Michael Garron Hospital from 1989 to 2024. She is currently as Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at The University of Toronto. She was Chief of Surgery from 2001-2012 at the Michael Garron Hospital, Co-Program Medical Director Surgical Services, Chair of Credentials and the Surgical Ambulatory Care Redevelopment Co-Chair. Dr. Tate was the past VP and President of the Medical Staff Association in 1994/1995 and past head of the Division of Plastic Surgery 2005- 2011. In 2009, she completed the Rotman School of Management Advanced Health Leadership Program, Toronto.

She completed the University of Toronto Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Certification Course in 2010. Her clinical interests include Hand Surgery, Peripheral Nerve Surgery, the surgical treatment of Skin Cancer and the removal of cysts,nevi and lipomas.

Dr. Christopher Hong MD, FRCSC

Dr. Hong is a highly accomplished medical professional with a sub-specialization in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
