Dr. Rayhan Pitigala MD, FRCPC

Dr. Rayhan Pitigala is an Internal Medicine physician dedicated to helping adults navigate both complex medical conditions and everyday health concerns. His clinical interests include heart failure, chronic kidney disease, pulmonary disease, hypertension, diabetes, and cardiometabolic disease.

Born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area, Dr. Pitigala is excited to return home and care for the communities that helped shape him. He completed his Internal Medicine training at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Mercy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he also served as Chief Resident. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his leadership, commitment to medical education, and patient-centered approach to care. Dr. Pitigala believes that the best outcomes are achieved when physicians and patients work together as a team.

He is passionate about empowering patients through education and takes pride in breaking down complex medical concepts into clear, understandable terms. Whether drawing diagrams, reviewing test results, or explaining treatment options, he strives to ensure every patient leaves with a better understanding of their health and a clear plan moving forward.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Pitigala enjoys spending time with his wife and family, cooking and exploring world cuisine, playing golf, and following Arsenal FC.
