Why We at Unify Can No Longer Offer Vasectomy Services

At this time, Unify Health no longer performs vasectomy procedures.

The decision is hard for our clinic and surgeons as we have provided hundreds of vasectomies safely and comfortably; the decision is based on the current reimbursement model under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP).

Unfortunately, the funding allocated for vasectomy procedures is significantly below the actual cost of providing safe, high-quality care. Given that the total reimbursement is less than what our clinic spend on basic supplies and nursing alone, it is not economically viable for us to continue offering this service. We remain committed to delivering evidence-based care in areas where appropriate resources and support are available.
