Hematology Services at Unify Health

Unify Health offers specialist hematology consultation for patients with blood disorders, abnormal bloodwork, and concerns requiring expert assessment. Our hematology service focuses primarily on benign hematology, while also providing initial assessment and guidance for a broad range of hematologic concerns.

Patients may be referred for evaluation of anemia, iron deficiency, abnormal white blood cell counts, elevated or low platelets, bleeding or bruising concerns, clotting disorders, thrombosis history, abnormal ferritin, B12 deficiency, monoclonal gammopathy, and other blood-related abnormalities.

Conditions Commonly Assessed

Our hematology service can support assessment and management of:

  • Iron deficiency and anemia

  • Low or elevated platelet counts

  • Elevated white blood cell counts or low white blood cell counts

  • Easy bruising or bleeding concerns

  • Blood clot history or thrombophilia evaluation

  • Abnormal ferritin or iron studies

  • B12 or folate deficiency

  • Monoclonal gammopathy / abnormal protein studies

  • Lymph node or spleen-related bloodwork concerns

  • Complex or unexplained hematology abnormalities

Referrals

Unify Health accepts referrals for hematology consultation. While the clinic has a strong focus on benign hematology, patients with a wide range of hematology-related concerns may be referred for review, assessment, and appropriate next-step planning.

Referring physicians are encouraged to include recent CBC, ferritin/iron studies, B12, folate, renal function, liver enzymes, inflammatory markers, coagulation testing, and any relevant imaging or prior hematology records when available.
