Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) AND ENT PLASTICS
What is a Ear Nose and Throat Surgeon?
An Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Surgeon or Otolaryngologist is a specialist who diagnoses and surgically treats conditions of the head and neck, including the ear, nose, throat, sinuses, voice box, and related structures.
Common reasons for seeing an ENT surgeon::
Benign lumps/cysts/masses in the head and neck
Sinusitis
Hearing issues
Head and neck cancers
Thyroid/parathyroid disorders
Cosmetic head and neck scar revisions and mini-face lifts
I want to see an ENT surgeon. How can I make an appointment?
If you are interested in a cosmetic issue with our ENT surgeon, contact our clinic by emailing info@unifyhealth.ca for more information to arrange a private consultation.
If you have general concerns regarding your head and neck health, your family doctor or nurse practitioner will need to send a referral to our clinic. Our clinic offers a near full service ENT.
Is there a cost associated with any of the procedures performed at the clinic?
At our clinic, many Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) consultations and procedures are covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), which is the provincial health coverage for medically necessary services provided to Ontario residents.
OHIP-covered ENT services include assessments, diagnostic procedures, and surgeries deemed medically necessary, such as removal of nasal polyps, treatment of chronic sinusitis, or excision of suspicious lesions.
Non-OHIP services are those not considered medically necessary and therefore not insured, such as certain cosmetic procedures (e.g., elective rhinoplasty).
