Dr. Effy ND, R.Ac is a dedicated Naturopathic Doctor and Registered Acupuncturist who helps men and women achieve lasting wellness by addressing the foundations of health. Through her Five Pillars of Health approach, nutrition, gut health, hormonal balance, lifestyle (movement & rest), and brain/emotional health, she provides personalized care that supports the body and mind from the inside out.
With over a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Effy ND, R.Ac combines the science of naturopathic medicine with the wisdom of acupuncture to help her patients optimize their health, restore balance, and prevent future health challenges. Her approach is rooted in understanding each person as a whole, empowering them with knowledge and strategies to take control of their well-being.
Dr. Effy ND, R.Ac completed her Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Biomedical Ethics at the University of Toronto in 2008, followed by a Doctor in Naturopathic Medicine Degree at Bastyr University in 2012. She further enhanced her schooling with a 2-year Acupuncture Diploma at the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2016. She is licensed to practice in Ontario and is registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO) and the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). Dr. Effy ND, R.Ac is also an active member of the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Naturopathic Doctors.
Her mission is to guide patients toward optimal health and vitality by addressing root causes, supporting lifestyle changes, and creating a sustainable path to wellness that comes from within.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Effy ND, R.Ac has served as an educator of acupuncture and basic sciences at the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the past eight years. Through her teaching, she mentors and inspires future practitioners to bridge science and tradition in the pursuit of integrative, patient-centered care.
